The Log Cabin at Malu Manu is a quiet sanctuary situated on the slopes of Haleakala Mountain at approximately 4,250 ft above sea level.  With sweeping views of the West Maui Mountains, Lanai, Molokini and the Pacific Ocean, the Log Cabin provides a breathtaking perspective of Hawaii’s island chain.  Malu Manu is Hawaiian for “bird sanctuary” for which the place was named out of reverence for the colorful native species that can be glimpsed upon the branches of surrounding groves of sandalwood, ohia, koa and a’alii.
